Twitter Got the Best of Me
Alright guys, confession time. I did something high key questionable last night. I was just scrolling through twitter, procrastinating, when I saw a transformation picture of this woman who looked like she lost about 30 pounds. I was of course intrigued so I read through the thread which had a website imbedded that showed another woman who lost the same amount weight. At the end I found out she used keto pills and apple cider vinegar; she lost 25 pounds in one month! She said that was all she did and it “transformed her life.”
I have seen these posts so many times but I guess the combination of my need to procrastinate and lack of sleep sold me on these pills. So I go to the website and it says the pills are free until midnight. All I had to pay was a small shipping and handling fee of $4.95. But $4.95 is a small price to pay if it actually works right?!?
I did do some research and the reviews were pretty good so I put in my debit card information (don’t worry, I’m checking my account like every hour to make sure nothing sketchy happens) and it said it would get here Saturday.
This all sounded way to good to be true and as I was typing in my billing and shipping information, I felt like a sucker. I feel like I am really asking for my information to get stolen or for them to be placebo pills or something.
So, this morning when I received a voice mail from an unknown number saying that my order was not complete, I was having some regrets. I called the number back and the man said that they needed to confirm my address and name because their “system crashed” last night. I didn’t buy it. He then told me that he would give me an extra bottle of keto pills for another $4.95 in shipping. I was really not feeling like this was a legit website/man at this point so I was not about to repeat my card information over the phone. I just made sure that my original order was still in the mail and hung up.
Don’t worry guys, he said my pills are on the way.
Anyway, I hope/need to believe I am not the only person who has done this?! I mean losing 25 pounds in one month just by taking a pill and apple cider vinegar sounds like a darn good deal to me.
I will keep you updated on my results, or lack thereof over the next 30 days. Wish me luck!
